Will you help students at Leeds follow their dreams?

Every May, we ask the Leeds community to come together to help remove financial barriers for as many students as we can. Students like Fabiha.

“Estranged from my family and alone in a refuge, the only thing I had was a dream to study Astrophysics at Leeds.”

Fabiha’s story is one of remarkable determination – but it also highlights just how hard it is for a growing number of students to follow their dreams of studying at Leeds. Especially with financial and social barriers being heightened by the cost of living crisis.

"I came to university with £40 to my name and used to worry so much about money. Now I have a safety net for when times are tough. I can buy my textbooks, and fresh fruit and vegetables, rather than relying on 50p supermarket pizzas."

Last year, we were able to offer 209 students a scholarship – each one directly funded by supporters like you. The opportunities you offer are life-changing and help students like Fabiha break through barriers they face so they can follow their dreams by studying at Leeds.

"It’s such a blessing to know that there are so many supporters who believe that my personal circumstances shouldn’t limit what I can achieve. Your kindness and generosity means I am able to live a fulfilling life."
